Christmas in August!

A very sweet individual recently gave me a gift.  It is a very ornate chest with frankincense, myrrh and gold placed inside.  This of course has reminded me of the Christmas story and how these were the gifts that were given to Jesus by the wise men:

On coming to the house, they saw the child with his mother Mary, and they bowed down and worshiped him. Then they opened their treasures and presented him with gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh.  Matthew 2:11 (NIV)

So if you had to give a gift to the most important person you could imagine what would you give? Money, your house, your most prized possession.  As a Christ follower, what are you to give to Christ?  It is very simple.  It is actually the greatest thing that you could ever give Christ, it is unique, one of a kind and exactly what Christ asked for....YOURSELF.  So you may think that sounds like a "cliche"....just give yourself to Christ...but what does that really look like?

 

1.  Understanding and accepting Christ as your Lord and Leader. 

2.  Find out how you have been crafted (your own gifts/talents) and use those BOLDLY for CHRIST! 

 

But how do you know how you are crafted...how do you know your gifts/talents....
